And so it begins

For well over a year now, I have been a frequent commenter on such stellar blogs as Daily Kos, Atrios’ Eschaton, and Jesus’ General, not to mention my comments and single guest post on Walk in Brain, the blog of my friend and fraternity brother Wes in Cincinnati. Finally, I’ve decided that it’s time to launch my own blog.

I’m realistic … I know I don’t have a tremendous amount of time to post, and I definitely understand that I am not nearly as insightful or eloquent as those bloggers linked above, who have inspired me and set a wonderful example for superb political commentary. However, I also think there might be a bit part for me in this play called the 2004 presidential election, and I have a front-row seat (as I did in 2000) in Florida. Perhaps I can give you, the reader, some perspective, and of course I hope the commentary will be fertile ground for additional opinions and viewpoints.

I can’t promise miracles, but I’m happy to have my own little space in the blogosphere. As I get more comfortable with the format, I’ll add more functionality and, eventually, see if I can’t break out of the blogspot mold. In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and please stop by again regularly … and your comments are welcomed and appreciated.
