Libertarians? Anarchists? Or just delusional?

Interesting sign at Raymond James Stadium … and even more interesting that it was shown on the big screen in the stadium no fewer than two times. It read (I’m paraphrasing here):

GO BUCS
NO PROPERTY TAXES
2.5% SALES TAX ONLY

Now, I’m no economic genius, but in a state already decimated fiscally and in serious danger of real economic catastrophe, I don’t think eliminating all property taxes and gutting the sales tax (currently 6% plus a local option by county, generally 1/2% or 1%) is going to make things better. Unless, of course, your idea of “better” is Lord of the Flies.

I don’t go to football games for politics. Especially absurd politics.

At least the Bucs won …

If it’s Sunday, it must be football …

… or at least it is if the Buccaneers are at home. And they are today, taking on Vince Young (a/k/a The Most Overrated Quarterback in the NFL) and the Tennessee Titans. So, Sinfonian Jr. and I are making the trans-Wang™ trip to Tampa for the game. My prediction: Tampa Bay 26, Tennessee 13. But we’ll see …

I guess you can use this as an open thread, perhaps with a football emphasis. But now that I’ve discovered that Blogger is fully functional from my Blackberry, I may not be a stranger today around here. It probably depends on how much beer I drink …

Cheers!
